5 bitter-sweet humorous monologues by the Australian playwright, Joanna Murray Smith (Female of the Species, Honour) that tells of  the trials and tribulations of 4 women and a girl dealing, in their own idiosyncratic ways, with the travails of modern day life.

Meryl Davenport: a chaotic  and incredibly full day in the life of a harassed wife and mother of young children beginning at 6.00am with the baby crying and…..ending with the baby crying.

Tiggy Entwhistle: a woman seeking solace in the Cactus Society but it doesn’t seem to be able to solve her prickly problem.

Mary O’Donnell: it’s a no-brainer, Mary knows she is easily going to win the school talent contest and beat her arch rival into the bargain.  What could possibly go wrong?

Theresa McTerry: a bride who has finally got the Dress, the Man, the Big Wedding, the Dress.  She has everything she has always wanted…but does she?

Winsome Webster: a bored widow whose social life revolves around the company of other bored widows and good deeds.  Until one day, reading for a blind man, something happens…..
