We are currently trialling monthly “virtual” play readings using Zoom. These are for adults only as not all the chosen pays are suitable for younger members and the trial will run initially until December 2020 as we are hoping to be able to reopen our doors in January 2021.
The plan is to hold a play reading at 8 pm on the first Wednesday of each month starting on Wednesday 2nd September 2020 with two one-act plays by Agatha Christie. It will be facilitated by Phil Cohen who, if you don’t know him, is a long-standing member of the theatre and often works with Bromley Little Theatre and South London Theatre as well. Phil also runs our Zoom socials on a Friday evening and would love you to join in with those too if you can!
There are currently places for more readers to join the Play Reading group next week so, even if you are unfamiliar with using Zoom, please do not let this put you off as Phil would still be pleased to hear from you and discuss how to get you set up with the Zoom program – it’s very easy once you know-how! The theatre also now has a Zoom Pro account to help facilitate the longer requirements of a play reading and to enable our socials to go on for longer than 40 minutes – barely time to open the bottle!
If you are interested in taking part, and/or would like further information, please contact Phil via email@example.com.
We look forward to seeing you there – please support us if you can as these are crucial steps on our road to eventually reopening.
