When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her pet mouse, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. On the advice of the Good Witch of the North, they follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard in the hope he can help them get back home. En route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. But to earn his help, The Wizard wants them to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Based on the story by L Frank Baum, expect our Children’s Theatre production of the Wizard of Oz to bring all of his wonderful well-known characters vividly to life in a show for all the family to enjoy!

None of the characters are age specific and most are not gender specific either so are open to all boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 13.

Please note, you do not have to be a member of the Beckenham Theatre Children’s Theatre to audition for our Children’s Theatre production but please do make sure you are available for all the performance dates before you audition.
